ABOUT ME

Ever since I can remember, I have been entranced by technology and Graphic Design. The way people can just create things that are inside their subconscious mind and apply them to the real world. To make something that inspires others to pursue their passions and make something of themselves. I have always had a desire to be the one to inspire. With my DSLR camera, sketchbook, and my Huion Tablet, I will etch a place for myself in history.

Prior to graduating High School, I would be doing homework, studying for tests, and always wondering what the point of it all was. I never thought that anything I was learning was valuable. It wasn’t until after I graduated, I discovered how naive that was. Every little thing just takes you one step closer to your future; each bit of knowledge is a piece to your puzzle. The puzzle that will one day be complete and you won’t have anymore pieces to add on. So instead of looking at a piece and saying I’ll get to that later, why not put it down and keep adding on to it until all the pieces are connected? It was around this time that I decided that I wanted to major in Graphic Design and pursue my dream to inspire. I would stay up for hours watching tutorial after tutorial, editing video after video, until I felt like I was at a point to enter the competitive reality of the real world.

For the past four years, I spent my time developing my skills to prepare for the coming future. I enrolled In Hudson Valley Community College in order to build a name for myself, and transfer to a renowned four year college. My college of choice which I will graduate from in Spring 2020 is SUNY New Paltz. My goal is to enhance my abilities in all aspects of the digital field, to become more versatile. I want to have a better shot at finding a job that will make me happy. I have put my best foot forward, buckled down In all my classes, to have a high enough GPA to enter the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. I achieve those marks and maintained my Honor status for the two years I was at HVCC, and continued to maintain honor status at SUNY New Paltz. As a proud member of this society I can confidently say I am prepared for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

In the Summers of 2016-2018, I was an intern at George Washington University, I took on several real world projects for the college’s Public Health Department. During this internship I discovered that I am capable of turning my passions into a career. I was able to take what I’ve learned over the years and use my skills to recognize the needs of the school and implement it into the projects I was assigned. After my internship during the Summer of 2016 they asked me to return as a paid intern this summer to develop a new video series for their academic programs. I am very excited that they have given me the opportunity to make a name for myself and bring me one step closer to my future as a Graphic Designer. Recently I have gotten into rock climbing and have taken it upon myself to live a healthier lifestyle. I exercise daily and have also recently built a computer helping me better understand the technology that I work with. I look forward to the future.
